Senior Operations Manager - Ireland

We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to own the operational performance and continued growth of our Irish marketplace. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead a team of three and combine hands-on operational leadership with data-driven problem solving, market analysis and cross-functional project management.
You will be responsible for ensuring the marketplace performs well every day, directly influencing growth and customer satisfaction.
This is a hands-on Operations leadership role for someone who understands how a marketplace works, is comfortable getting into the detail, and can move from identifying a problem to developing and executing a solution.
YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:
- Monitor and improve key operational KPIs including driver supply, fulfillment, passenger waiting times and other marketplace performance indicators. Identify operational bottlenecks and drive corrective actions.
- Manage and coach a team of Operations Executives, setting priorities, supporting their development and ensuring strong execution against operational goals.
- Develop and execute initiatives to improve driver acquisition, retention and engagement, using driver insights and performance data to continuously improve the driver experience and ensure sufficient supply.
- Analyze marketplace, operational and driver data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement. Develop data-backed recommendations and turn them into practical initiatives with measurable impact.
- Understand the Irish market: Monitor market and competitor developments, local customer and driver needs, and broader mobility trends to identify opportunities and inform the long-term development of the Irish market.
- Own cross-functional projects from idea through execution, working with Product, Marketing, Public Affairs and other stakeholders on initiatives including new launches, market expansion and initiatives (like EV transitions)
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
- Relevant experience in Operations, ideally within a marketplace, mobility, logistics or similarly operationally complex environment.
- Experience leading and developing teams, with a track record of coaching, performance management and strong team execution.
- Strong understanding of marketplace operations, particularly supply, demand, fulfillment and driver or partner engagement.
- Analytical skills and the ability to use operational data to identify problems, develop ideas and make informed decisions.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects from concept through execution, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Understanding of the Irish market, with the ability to identify market and competitor trends and translate them into operational and commercial opportunities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with drivers, commercial partners and internal teams.
- Proactive and pragmatic approach, comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity and turning ideas into action.
- Understanding of technology-driven marketplaces and an interest in using technology and data to improve operational performance.
- An established network within the Irish mobility or transport ecosystem is a plus.
