Supply Operations is the team behind Preply's tutor ecosystem - from how tutors grow and perform, to how they engage with learners and the platform. We work across Growth, Performance, Engagement, B2B, and Expansion to deliver a great tutor experience at scale.

As we expand into new subjects, new learner segments and corporate learning through Preply Business, we’re building the Supply foundations that make growth work in practice: tutors who can be discovered, matched and succeed through a clear lifecycle and a high-quality experience.

As a Senior Supply Operations Specialist, you’ll cover main investment areas of growth: Preply Business (B2B) and Expansion into non-language subjects (NLS). You’ll work closely with B2B, Expansion, RevOps, Product, Data, Growth and the other Supply and Preply teams. This is a hands-on role: you’ll run day-to-day supply operations and deliver the programs and improvements that make both areas scalable. The split between the two areas will evolve as priorities shift.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Drive Supply workstreams for priority growth areas, with a focus on tutor coverage and liquidity, quality and lifecycle readiness (includes own our program for Preply Business Tutors, improving tutor quality for our B2B learners; supply readiness for new subjects and segments in Expansion)

• Represent Supply in cross-functional planning, so Supply implications shape priorities, sequencing and launch requirements (e.g., B2B planning with commercial partners, the Expansion squad)

• Be the Supply point of contact for day-to-day questions and edge cases, and escalate what needs a wider decision (e.g., tutor coverage for a specific B2B deal, a tutor no-show in a sales trial)

• Structure ambiguous problems into clear plans, workstreams and decisions, and deliver from diagnosis to rollout with Product, Data, Growth, RevOps, Expansion and other Supply teams

• Identify the biggest supply gaps and drive the right fixes (e.g., where NLS tutors drop off in the funnel compared with language subjects; B2B tutor satisfaction and problematic lessons)

• Strengthen the end-to-end tutor lifecycle and its foundations, from onboarding to categorization, discoverability and matching

• Evolve tutor quality standards and guardrails that protect quality and fairness across B2B and NLS

• Define success metrics and build dashboards for supply health with Data (e.g., liquidity and coverage, funnel health, tutor CSAT, problematic lessons)

• Propose new opportunities by challenging assumptions and testing practical approaches, including with AI

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

• 4-6+ years of experience in operations, strategy & operations, consulting, marketplaces or high-growth tech roles

• Project leadership: has led cross-functional initiatives from problem definition to rollout, with clear examples of shipped outcomes

• Structured problem solving: can break down ambiguous topics into clear goals, options and next steps

• Program management: structured planning, dependency management and follow-through across more than one workstream

• Stakeholder management: works well with commercial, product and data partners, handles competing requests and trade-offs, and says no with clear reasoning

• Data-driven approach: sizes opportunities, defines KPIs, interprets results and turns insights into actions

• Ownership mindset: acts autonomously, anticipates issues and drives closure

• Operational excellence: designs processes and guardrails that protect quality and reliability, and balances day-to-day support with project work

• AI fluency: already uses AI tools in daily work and is keen to automate and improve processes with them

• Clear communication: communicates clearly in writing and out loud, from crisp updates to explaining trade-offs in discussions and presenting recommendations to stakeholders

• Comfortable with ambiguity and moving fast with imperfect information while keeping quality high

NICE TO HAVE:

• B2B commercial exposure: understands sales cycles, account management realities and deal and retention constraints

• Non-language subjects or new-vertical marketplace experience: has built or scaled supply in a new category, subject or segment (e.g., tutoring or teaching outside languages, kids, or a marketplace launching a new vertical)

• SQL and BI fluency (e.g., Looker)

• Familiarity with marketplace supply dynamics: quality, liquidity, incentives, eligibility

• Marketplace or platform experience supporting a large base of supply partners (tutors, creators, sellers, drivers, etc.)

• Passion for education and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the EdTech industry
