As a Channel Management Specialist (YouTube), you will play a crucial role in Epidemic Group, helping a diverse portfolio of YouTube channels grow and get discovered. Your role will be to own growth, discovery and monetization strategy for the channels you manage.
The channels in your portfolio span kids, entertainment and music content, including third-party and partner channels run by independent creators and rights holders. You will advise these channel owners on what to publish, how to package it and where to grow next, and you will report on results using YouTube Analytics. You will join the Business Development team in Stockholm and report to VP Platform Licensing & DRM, working closely with Blenda and our Music Department.
Your key responsibilities include
- Develop growth strategies across a portfolio of channels, increasing watch time, subscribers, views and engagement.
- Build content and format strategies tailored to each channel's genre and audience, using Shorts and trend-driven tactics to drive discovery.
- Advise third-party and partner channel owners on strategy, monetization and policy, acting as their trusted partner rather than managing your own channels.
- Optimize metadata (titles, tags, thumbnails, descriptions) for search visibility and click-through rate.
- Analyze performance and audience data to continuously refine channel strategy, and advise on cross-platform content (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) that supports channel growth.
- Stay on top of YouTube policy, monetization and Content ID developments, including made-for-kids rules, and apply them to the channels you manage.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing and scaling YouTube channels across diverse genres and formats.
- Deep understanding of YouTube SEO, algorithm mechanics, and audience growth strategies.
- A balanced mindset combining creative intuition with strong data analytics.
- Practical video production skills (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
- Fluent English, sharp organizational skills, and a proactive mindset for identifying new opportunities.
It would also be music to our ears if you have:
- Experience with entertainment or kids’ content, including familiarity with kids IP.
- Hands-on knowledge of Content ID and monetization strategies (ad placements, sponsorships, partnerships).
- Insight into creator and influencer marketing.
